Behind the Scenes

Valerie Roy's Profile

Valerie Roy grew up in the northern woods of Quebec, Canada where the outdoors played an integral part of her life. Coming from a line of avid gardeners and artists, Valerie's inspirations are derived from a combined passion for nature and enthusiasm for art.

Valerie began her career in the floral industry in 2000 and started her business in floral design "AcScent Interiors" in 2003. Her qualifications include a Certificate IV
in Floristry (WRS40104) European Large Scale Designs and Small Business Management Retail Floristry.

Her designs evoke nature; manipulated, designed, and constructed to create something unique and unexpected. Her work is always consciously thought out and never garish. Innovation, workmanship, and attention to details are her strong suits. Valerie distinguishes herself in the industry not only through the use of unusual materials but also through the logistical approach she uses for each design. Currently, Valerie is active in her own design studio creating design concepts and floral creations and compositions for the home, office, commercial, weddings, functions and events.
